Trump Predicts War Will End QUICKLY

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Speaking with reporters, the president described the current situation as going “unbelievably well” and suggested that negotiators may be closer than many expected to securing an agreement that could cool tensions before the crisis spirals further out of control.

At the same time, Trump made it clear the administration is prepared to escalate if Tehran refuses to cooperate. The president warned Iranian leaders that turning down the latest U.S. proposal could invite “higher level” military action from the United States and its allies.

The president’s comments appeared to reassure nervous investors who have been watching the crisis unfold with growing concern. Oil prices showed signs of easing Thursday morning, with both Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate remaining below the $100-per-barrel mark as traders reacted to signs that diplomatic progress may still be possible.

Even with the renewed optimism surrounding the talks, the security situation across the Middle East remains highly volatile.

In Israel, military officials are now bracing for the possibility of retaliation following a deadly Israeli strike in Beirut that reportedly killed a senior Hezbollah commander earlier this week. The incident has intensified fears that the conflict could widen beyond Iran and Israel, potentially drawing additional terrorist groups into the confrontation.

The Israel Defense Forces announced Thursday that several public events in northern Israel were being canceled as officials monitor the threat of possible attacks from Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terror organization operating in Lebanon.

“Following the IDF strike in Beirut yesterday (Wednesday), the IDF continues to conduct ongoing situational assessments in the northern sector. Accordingly, events that had previously been exempted from the Home Front Command’s defensive guidelines in the northern border area have been canceled due to the possibility of enemy fire by the Hezbollah terrorist organization toward the area,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

Israeli authorities emphasized that broader civilian defense protocols issued by the Home Front Command remain unchanged for now, though officials acknowledged the situation could shift rapidly depending on Hezbollah’s next moves.

Some of the restrictions in northern Israel had previously been eased after the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement took effect earlier this spring. However, military leaders cautioned that the calm remains fragile as tensions continue simmering along the Lebanese border.

The developments underscore just how high the stakes have become for the Trump administration as it attempts to balance diplomacy with military deterrence. With global oil markets on edge, terrorist threats looming, and tensions escalating across multiple fronts, the outcome of these negotiations could have major consequences not only for the Middle East but for the broader global economy as well.

For now, all eyes remain fixed on Tehran as the regime considers whether to accept Washington’s proposal — or risk triggering an even larger confrontation that could reshape the region for years to come.
