Karoline Leavitt’s whirlwind year just took another joyful turn — and it comes after one of the most chaotic stretches of her already headline-making tenure inside President Donald Trump’s White House.
The 28-year-old White House press secretary announced this week that she and her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, have officially welcomed a new baby girl into their growing family. The announcement came only days after Leavitt was reportedly rushed out of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner amid panic sparked by an active shooter scare that briefly rattled Washington elites gathered at the annual media event.
Despite the turmoil surrounding the nation’s capital in recent weeks, Leavitt shared a deeply personal and heartfelt message Thursday revealing the arrival of the couple’s daughter, Vivian — affectionately nicknamed “Vivi.”
“She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister,” Leavitt wrote. “We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.”
The baby was born May 1 and now joins the couple’s first child, Nicholas Robert Riccio — known as “Niko” — who is just 21 months old.
