Patrick Clancy has spoken publicly following the mistrial in the case involving his former wife, Lindsay Clancy, who is accused of killing their three young children inside their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home.
In a statement released after Friday’s dramatic end to the trial, Patrick described the possibility of facing another trial as an agonizing prospect for him and his family.
The statement came after jurors informed a Massachusetts judge that they could not reach the unanimous decision required to determine whether Lindsay was criminally responsible for the deaths of Cora, Dawson and Callan.
Saying “For Patrick, however, another trial would mean reopening wounds that have never had an opportunity to heal”. His heart will NEVER heal. It is not the natural way of things to live after a child/children have died. My only son died…..your heart doesn’t heal. It’s a hole that can never be filled, but to think that his wife killed all THREE children is beyond devastating. She admitted she did it; she planned out every detail, searched the internet on how to strangle the kids, and used exercise belts to do it. She is completely responsible for the murders and if she doesn’t pay here in this life, she certainly will in the next. I hope Patrick comes to his own senses and let’s the next trial begin. He must do it for his children.
