Appearing on MSNBC with host Nicole Wallace, Brennan was pressed about whether Trump could really negotiate a deal strong enough to force Putin’s hand. Wallace mocked the idea, asking if it was even remotely possible for Trump to pull it off.
Brennan, while trying to downplay expectations, made a stunning admission.
“I think the odds are probably one out of 100 at best. There is no way Vladimir Putin is going to give up the territory that he has gained in Ukraine willingly,” Brennan said.
The former CIA chief made it clear he doubts Trump’s negotiating skills, sneering that the former president “believes he’s the world’s best negotiator,” but insisting the situation is “way, way beyond his ability.”
Yet, Brennan’s hostility couldn’t stop him from facing reality. He conceded: “But I would second a nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize… if in fact that happens.”
Trump Derangement Syndrome Collides With Reality
For years, Brennan has been one of the loudest anti-Trump voices in Washington. His role in pushing the fake Russia narrative left him disgraced in conservative circles, where he’s seen as a symbol of the Deep State’s war against Trump.
So for Brennan to even entertain the idea of Trump winning a Nobel Prize is nothing short of remarkable. Of course, he couldn’t resist padding his statement with skepticism, repeatedly saying the odds were “one out of 100” and “next to zero.”
Still, the fact remains: both Hillary Clinton and John Brennan have gone on record admitting that if Trump pulls this off, he deserves recognition on the world stage.
The Left’s Dilemma
The sudden shift reveals a deeper dilemma for Democrats. For years, they’ve painted Trump as reckless, dangerous, and unfit for office. But now, with the real possibility that he could succeed where Joe Biden and NATO have failed, even his worst critics are being forced to admit the unthinkable.
WATCH:
Trump has long branded himself as the master dealmaker, the one man who could bring hostile world leaders to the table. Critics laughed when he met with Kim Jong Un, but those same critics are now the ones nervously acknowledging that Trump might be the only leader capable of forcing Putin into a ceasefire.
And if that happens, the same establishment voices that spent years trying to destroy him may be left with no choice but to cheer him.
Hillary Clinton and John Brennan don’t hand out compliments to Donald Trump. The fact that both are already positioning themselves to say he deserves a Nobel Prize if he ends the Ukraine war is nothing short of historic.
It’s a reluctant admission — but one that shows Trump’s influence and deal-making reputation cannot be ignored, even by his most bitter enemies.
