This week, during a press briefing focused on President Trump’s resurgent economic policies and impressive achievements during his first 100 days, a reporter brought up Amazon’s planned pricing stunt. The question triggered a fiery and unapologetic response from Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“This is a hostile and political act by Amazon,” Leavitt replied. “Why didn’t Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?”
It’s a fair question. Where was Amazon’s concern for transparency when Americans were getting crushed by skyrocketing grocery bills, gas prices, and interest rates under Biden? Silent. But now that Trump is reviving the U.S. economy and holding China accountable, Amazon suddenly wants to play economist.
And as Leavitt made clear, the motive behind Amazon’s actions might be even more disturbing.
“And I would also add that it is not a surprise,” she continued. “As Reuters recently wrote, Amazon has recently partnered with a Chinese propaganda arm. So this is not a surprise.”
Yes, you read that right. Amazon is literally working with a Communist regime’s propaganda machine. A 2021 Reuters investigation revealed that Amazon had agreed to sell Chinese dictator Xi Jinping’s writings on its Chinese site—on one condition: no customer could post reviews. After one negative comment about Xi’s book, the Chinese government demanded censorship—and Amazon complied.
This isn’t just about tariffs. This is about collusion between Big Tech and foreign adversaries to undermine American values.
Leavitt didn’t mince words when she highlighted what this means for American families and businesses:
Just Released: Trump White House Collector’s Bobblehead!
“This is another reason why Americans should buy American. We are anchoring critical supply chains here at home to boost our own manufacturing here.”

She’s right. If there was ever a time to support U.S. companies and reject globalist corporations that answer to Beijing before Washington, it’s now.
A final question was tossed to the podium about whether Bezos still supports President Trump, given his recent public gestures. Leavitt opted not to comment and handed the floor to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, ending the exchange with no room for confusion about where the Trump White House stands.
Amazon’s decision is more than just corporate messaging—it’s political warfare. And once again, it’s the America First movement that’s taking the hits for standing up to China and restoring U.S. strength.
