JUST IN: Minnesota Officials Caught Discarding Ballots!

A preliminary investigation into Minnesota’s razor-thin House District 54A race has unveiled a startling discovery: 21 ballots appear to have been discarded while still in their secrecy envelopes. The race, encompassing Shakopee and parts of Scott County, was decided by a slim 14 votes, costing Republicans a majority in the state’s House of Representatives.

Early voting in Shakopee ran from September 20 through November 4, 2024, using two voting methods:

  • Envelope Voting: Voters submitted ballots in security and signature envelopes.
  • Direct Ballot Voting: Beginning October 18, voters could scan ballots directly into tabulators.

On election night, discrepancies emerged in absentee ballot counts. By November 7, Scott County staff identified a 21-ballot gap across two precincts, with Precinct 10 (P10) displaying the most glaring issue. Records showed 329 voters checked in, yet only 309 ballots were processed.

The missing ballots were flagged during a post-election audit. County staff tied 20 uncounted ballots to P10 and one to Precinct 12A. While officials dismissed the Precinct 12A issue as minor, the irregularities in P10 became the focus of their investigation.
