Archaeologists working in the Judean Desert announced they uncovered rare gold artifacts that endured more than 1,400 years of war, conquest, neglect, and relentless looting attempts.

The find is already reigniting debate among scholars and historians who have spent decades trying to downplay Christianity’s roots in the Holy Land.
A discovery that defied time and thieves
The announcement came after excavations at the ancient site of Hyrcania, located roughly ten miles east of Jerusalem. The area has long been known to archaeologists and looters alike, making the survival of any untouched artifacts almost unheard of.
Yet against all odds, researchers uncovered two gold coins and a finely crafted ring buried deep within the ruins of an ancient Christian monastery.
