And Democrats are not happy about it.

A Sixty Year Tradition Rooted in the 1960s
Since 1962, Air Force One has worn the pale blue and white livery commissioned by President John F. Kennedy. At the time, Kennedy wanted a look that projected dignity rather than raw military force. Industrial designer Raymond Loewy delivered a softer aesthetic. The upper fuselage featured a light blue tone, the lower section polished metal, and the words “United States of America” in a classic Caslon typeface inspired by the Declaration of Independence.
That design endured through eleven presidencies. It became iconic. It became tradition. It became, in many Americans’ minds, untouchable.
But tradition does not mean permanence.
Trump’s Vision for a Bolder America
When President Donald Trump entered office in 2017, he made it clear he wanted a different look for the next generation of presidential aircraft. He viewed the pale blue as dated and uninspiring.
