Dems PANIC Over Air Force One’s New Look

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

“The baby blue doesn’t fit with us,” Trump told Fox News.

His proposal was unapologetically patriotic. A deep navy underbelly. A bright white upper fuselage. A bold red stripe stretching from nose to tail. It closely resembled the design on his personal Boeing 757, but with a distinctly American emphasis.

In 2018, the Air Force confirmed that Boeing would proceed with the new design for the upcoming VC 25B aircraft. The replacement jets, based on the Boeing 747 8 platform, were already under contract. The paint scheme was part of the broader modernization.

Then the White House changed hands.

Biden Reverses Course

In 2022, the Biden administration officially scrapped Trump’s color plan. The justification centered on technical concerns. According to officials, darker shades could create heat related complications that might trigger additional Federal Aviation Administration testing for certain components.

Critics were skeptical.

Soon after, updated renderings were released showing a refreshed version of the classic Kennedy era look. The pale blue remained, slightly modernized. The message from the administration was clear. The old design would stay.

For many on the right, it looked less like engineering caution and more like political reversal.

The Air Force Confirms a Major Shift

That standoff has now come to an end.

The U.S. Air Force confirmed this week that a new red, white, and dark navy color scheme will be applied across the next generation of presidential and executive aircraft.

The update will not be limited to the two new VC 25B jets. It will also extend to a refurbished Qatari 747 8i expected to serve temporarily as a bridge aircraft, as well as four C 32 transport planes used by the First Lady, Vice President, and senior cabinet officials.

One C 32 has already been repainted and is nearing delivery. L3Harris is overseeing the work at its Greenville, Texas facility.

“We’re painting it red, white, and blue like the American flag, which is incredible,” Trump told Sean Hannity.

The finalized design reportedly includes gold accents, echoing the trim found in the presidential seal. The result is a bolder, more overtly patriotic aesthetic than the muted tones introduced in the early 1960s.

More Than Just Paint

To some, this is a cosmetic change. To others, it is a symbolic one.

Air Force One is not merely transportation. It is a flying emblem of American power. When it lands in a foreign capital, it projects an image before the president ever steps onto the tarmac.

Supporters of the new design argue that a red, white, and blue scheme better reflects the American flag and the country’s identity. They say it represents strength, clarity, and national pride.

Opponents view it as unnecessary disruption of a long standing tradition.

But after years of debate, the direction is now set.

A design first introduced during the Kennedy administration will soon give way to a new look shaped by a different era and a different vision of America.

The next time Air Force One descends from the clouds, it may no longer carry the soft blue of the 1960s.

Instead, it will reflect a sharper, more assertive palette that signals a shift not just in color, but in tone.

And in Washington, even the color of a plane can become a battlefield.
