Navy Stunned by Iran’s Speed Boat Tactic!

Iran has once again thrown one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints into chaos, declaring the Strait of Hormuz closed on April 18 after briefly signaling it had reopened just one day earlier. The sudden reversal came after President Donald Trump confirmed that the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports would remain in effect, setting the stage for a fresh confrontation between Washington and Tehran.

The renewed closure immediately raised alarms across international shipping markets. According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations center, armed boats linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) opened fire on a commercial tanker attempting to transit the strait on April 19. Officials said the vessel and crew escaped unharmed, but the message from Tehran was unmistakable.

At least two other ships reportedly came under attack during the same period, showing that the threat was not isolated. Iran’s parliamentary speaker and lead negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made the regime’s position crystal clear on state television when he declared: “It is impossible for others to pass through the Strait of Hormuz while we cannot.”

That statement underscores a dangerous reality: Iran is not relying primarily on its weakened conventional navy. Instead, the force now driving events in the Gulf is the IRGC Navy, a separate and highly aggressive military arm built for asymmetric warfare.
