CNN anchor Dana Bash pressed border czar Tom Homan over the remarkably fast deportation of Milo Yiannopoulos, apparently looking for an explanation for why his case moved through the system so quickly.
Homan’s response was simple: speed is the point.
The Trump administration, according to Homan, is deliberately working to shorten the amount of time removable migrants spend in federal custody, cutting detention expenses while freeing space for additional immigration arrests.
