In a speech from Mexico City, Sheinbaum praised the violent demonstrators who have been wreaking havoc in LA. Rather than denounce the destruction, she painted the rioters as virtuous victims simply fighting for their families.
“Mexicans living in the United States are good men and women, honest people who went to the United States to seek a better life for themselves and to support their families,” Sheinbaum said. “They are not criminals! They are good men and women!”
Instead of urging calm, Sheinbaum doubled down—lashing out at the Trump Administration for having the audacity to enforce immigration law and protect American communities from lawlessness.
But she didn’t stop there.
Sheinbaum also took direct aim at a potential policy that would impose a tax on remittances—the billions of dollars sent from the U.S. to Mexico each year. These funds make up nearly 4% of Mexico’s GDP, and Sheinbaum made it clear that any interference with that cash flow would provoke a severe reaction.
WATCH:
President Claudia Sheinbaum saying Mexico could take action against the U.S. if Trump introduces a tax on money sent back home by Mexicans working in the USA:
“If necessary, we’ll mobilize. We don’t want taxes on remittances from our fellow countrymen” pic.twitter.com/ifTjD89WzJ
She boldly called on Mexicans living in America to “mobilize” if Washington dares to tax the money being siphoned out of our economy.
Think about that: a foreign president, inciting unrest on U.S. soil, and threatening economic retaliation if we try to protect our financial interests.
Rather than acting like a responsible head of state, Sheinbaum is cozying up to violent protesters and practically encouraging rebellion. She is sending a loud and clear message that she stands with the mob and against the United States.
This is not how an ally behaves. This is not the conduct of a cooperative neighbor. What we’re seeing is the president of Mexico aligning herself with radicals, undermining U.S. sovereignty, and threatening consequences if we dare prioritize our nation’s security and economy.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t about compassion, it’s about control. The Mexican government doesn’t want to lose the billions it rakes in from remittances, and it’s willing to look the other way—or even applaud—when chaos erupts in American cities.
The silence from the Biden administration and Democrat leaders has been deafening. Where is the outrage? Where is the defense of our borders, our laws, and our citizens?
If Trump hadn’t acted quickly, Los Angeles could have descended into a full-scale crisis. And instead of support from our southern neighbor, we’re being met with condemnation and threats.
This isn’t just a protest gone wrong—it’s a wake-up call. America is under siege from within, and now we’re being challenged from abroad. The question is: who’s going to stand up for the rule of law before the flames spread even further?
