Mexico’s President: “Let the Riots Continue”

The situation in Los Angeles has spiraled out of control, and now Mexico’s president is fanning the flames—going so far as to justify the violence and openly condemn American efforts to enforce immigration laws.

What began as a series of routine ICE operations in downtown Los Angeles on Friday quickly descended into chaos. Furious mobs hit the streets, igniting fires, hurling objects at law enforcement, and causing widespread property damage. Mayor Karen Bass’s reckless call for resistance against federal immigration enforcement only added fuel to the fire.

By Saturday, things had gone from bad to worse. Rioters continued their rampage, attacking officers, smashing windows, and even attempting to set vehicles ablaze. The situation deteriorated so quickly that President Trump had to step in and deploy the National Guard—while Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom stood by in silence, offering no leadership or condemnation.

And just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any more outrageous, Mexico’s newly inaugurated President Claudia Sheinbaum decided to insert herself into the mess—and not to call for peace.
