FBI Just Dropped a CHILLING Update in Michigan!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The Gunman’s Rampage

Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old Tomas Jacob Sanford. Witnesses say Sanford plowed his pickup truck through the front doors of the church just after 10:25 a.m., flags waving in the bed and deer antlers strapped to the bumper, before firing off rounds with what officials described as an assault-style rifle.

Sanford’s killing spree came to a quick end thanks to the rapid response of a township officer and a Michigan Department of Natural Resources officer. Both exchanged gunfire with the suspect, killing him just eight minutes after the terror began.

Explosives and Arson

According to James Deir, special agent in charge with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Sanford used gasoline to ignite the fire that gutted the church. Investigators also uncovered “suspected explosive devices” at the scene, raising further alarms about what the killer may have been planning.

Witness Accounts Paint a Grim Picture

Survivors painted a chilling picture of the chaos that followed the truck crash and gunfire.

Congregant Kristin Juarez, 54, thought the building had collapsed before she realized bullets were flying. She hid in a bathroom, separated from her husband, until she finally heard his voice. “I thought, ‘If I have to die, it’s OK,’” she said. “I feel good about where I am.”

Her husband, John Juarez, 57, described carrying an injured worshipper outside before going back inside the burning sanctuary, where he found another victim lying on the floor. “I didn’t know what I could do for him,’’ he admitted. “I couldn’t get him out on my own.”

Another congregant, Paul Kirby, 38, recalled running toward the crash site thinking it was an accident. From just yards away, he watched Sanford climb out of his truck and aim directly at him. “He started shooting at me,” Kirby recounted. One round shattered a glass door, cutting his leg with flying shards.

FBI on Alert

FBI Director Kash Patel said he was being briefed and was monitoring the situation closely. Authorities have not released a motive, though the presence of weapons, gasoline, and suspected explosives suggests the attack was carefully planned.

A Community Shaken

What was supposed to be a quiet service for hundreds of faithful churchgoers became a battlefield. Families are still searching for loved ones, investigators are combing through the rubble, and law enforcement officials are bracing the nation for the possibility of more victims.

This massacre is another grim reminder of the evil that can surface without warning — and why Americans are demanding accountability, stronger community protections, and leadership that doesn’t hesitate to call these atrocities what they are: acts of pure, calculated violence against the innocent.
