In a stunning decision late Thursday night, a Biden-appointed federal judge temporarily halted President Trump’s executive order to suspend foreign aid contracts, marking yet another judicial roadblock for the former president as he attempts to implement his policies.

The ruling came from U.S. District Judge Amir Ali of the District Court of Columbia, who was appointed by President Joe Biden. Judge Ali sided with multiple non-profit organizations that had sued the Trump administration over its 90-day freeze on foreign aid spending.
