Jimmy Kimmel Just Triggered the White House BIG TIME

The White House Responds

Not everyone found it funny. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung fired back on X, calling Kimmel a “classless hack who is self-projecting his depression and sadness onto others.”

He went further: “He lives a pathetic existence where nobody – not even his family – enjoys his miserable company. The only people giving him any attention are Hollywood Elites.”

Cheung also reminded Americans of Kimmel’s history of performing in blackface, pointing out the irony of Hollywood applauding him while ignoring past offensive behavior whenever he attacks conservatives.

A History of Controversy Ignored by Hollywood

This is the same Jimmy Kimmel ABC suspended last September after claiming the shooter who targeted Charlie Kirk had MAGA ties. The evidence clearly showed the attacker was motivated by left-wing ideology.

Several broadcast affiliates, including Nexstar and Sinclair, refused to air his show. Nexstar called his comments “offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse.”

Yet Hollywood pressure brought him back. And Sunday night, that same elite crowd handed him a microphone on one of the world’s most visible stages.

Kimmel Takes Aim at CBS Too

While presenting the Documentary Short award, Kimmel didn’t spare CBS. He joked, “As you know there are some countries whose leaders don’t support free speech. I’m not at liberty to say which. Let’s just leave it at North Korea and CBS.”

The jab referenced the Skydance-Paramount merger, during which CBS canceled Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show – a move critics called retaliation after Colbert criticized the company’s $16 million settlement with former President Trump.

This wasn’t comedy. It was a political rally in a tuxedo. And the audience ate it up.

Hollywood’s Decline Continues

The Oscars once drew 57 million viewers in 1998. Last year? Barely 20 million tuned in. Over the same period, Hollywood increasingly turned awards shows into political spectacles.

A Rasmussen poll shows more than half of Americans believe the quality of movies has declined over the last two decades. Watching Kimmel attack half of America’s entertainment choices from the stage likely did little to change that perception.

Luxury and Hypocrisy

This year’s Oscar gift bags reportedly had a $350,000 price tag per celebrity, featuring villa retreats in Costa Rica, Ibiza, Finland, and Sri Lanka – all while the stars preached about inequality and courage.

This is the same Hollywood machine that suspended Kimmel, reinstated him, and then handed him a national platform to repeat the cycle. They won’t stop. The ratings will keep dropping. And don’t expect them to take responsibility.
