Instead, authorities announced that the suspect had been stopped before carrying out his plan.

Once the video began circulating, backlash exploded across social media. The controversy gained even more momentum after the clip was shared by the popular Libs of TikTok account, where millions of users quickly weighed in.

As attention intensified, users began digging through Baum’s other online content, resurfacing previous TikTok videos and political commentary that critics described as extreme and unstable.

Parents, political leaders, and conservative voices demanded immediate action.

Many called for Baum to be fired from her teaching role, arguing that someone entrusted with young children should not publicly celebrate or wish for political violence.

Others urged state officials to investigate whether her teaching credentials should remain valid.

One viral response to the controversy shared the Ohio educator misconduct complaint portal, encouraging concerned citizens to formally report the incident.

By Sunday evening, The Children’s House website appeared inaccessible or was experiencing technical problems, leading some to speculate that the school was overwhelmed by public reaction and traffic.

The outrage comes as more details emerge about the attempted attack itself.

According to surveillance footage described in multiple reports, Allen allegedly sprinted past metal detectors, opened fire, and exchanged gunshots with Secret Service agents before being subdued.

One federal agent was reportedly hit during the confrontation but escaped injury because of protective body armor.

President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and several other officials were rushed from the area during the chaos. No members of the administration were injured.

Investigators also say Allen left behind a manifesto indicating that he intended to target members of the Trump administration.

In another disturbing twist, Allen himself reportedly worked as a teacher and had received a “Teacher of the Month” recognition in December 2024.

Federal prosecutors have already moved forward with charges.

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro confirmed that Allen has been charged with at least two serious offenses: using a firearm during a crime of violence and assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon.

Allen is expected to appear in court for arraignment on Monday.

Meanwhile, public attention remains centered on Baum’s remarks and whether The Children’s House or Ohio education officials will respond.

For many Americans, the story has become about more than one video. Critics say it reveals how normalized hatred toward President Trump has become in some circles—so much so that an educator working with preschool and kindergarten children allegedly felt comfortable posting comments that appeared to mourn the failure of an assassination attempt.

Now parents and taxpayers are demanding accountability, and many believe consequences should come swiftly.
