FBI informant discusses government intrusion into school board meetings in court: Stephen Friend was instructed to write down the parents’ vehicle plate numbers while the hearing was going on.
After refusing to participate in a SWAT-style raid on a suspect from the January 6 incident who was facing minor charges last summer, Friend, a 12-year bureau veteran, was suspended. Mr. Friend, a 12-year bureau veteran who rejected to take part in the raid on August 24, 2024 because “I have an oath to uphold the Constitution,” said to his superiors. “I have a moral objection and want to be considered a conscientious objector.”
U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) questioned the FBI leakers on Thursday over the agency’s “terrorism symbol guide.”
Agents advised Gaetz that stating his support for the second amendment, displaying the Betsy Ross flag, and writing “2A” might be interpreted by the FBI as supporting domestic terrorism. Gaetz responded by changing the subject to talk about school board meetings with his colleague, Friend.
An FBI agent was put on leave after being instructed to take license plate information from parents at school board meetings who opposed leftist objectives. It’s remarkable that the agent raised objections to the curriculum at these discussions considering she was also a parent.
“After I attended privately my colleagues teased me that [the FBI] were probably going to start investigating me,” Friend said.
A friend said that he was removed from child predator investigations so that he could interview parents at school board meetings.
On the request of the National School Boards Association, which referred to the parents as “domestic terrorists,” DOJ and FBI are looking into the cases of parents who spoke out against Critical Race Theory at school board meetings. Attorney General Merrick Garland started this action in 2021.
