Unambiguously, the retiree declared, “He’s a hero.” She highlighted to Fox News Digital that it was unfair to accuse Penny of second-degree homicide. “It was self-defense, and I believe in my heart that he saved a lot of people that day that could have gotten hurt,” Added she. The witness, who identified herself as a woman of color, brought attention to the terror that others on the train were feeling. “The people on that train, we were scared. We were scared for our lives,” she said.

In response to the passing of Neely, a former homeless man with a history of offenses, Alvin Bragg files charges against Penny. Penny’s defense maintains that he acted to defend other passengers during the altercation, which took place on a subway train.

The unnamed retiree further questioned the accusations’ justification, saying, “Why in the world would you take a bullet? Why? You don’t take a bullet because you’ve snatched something from somebody’s hand. You take a bullet for violence.” When the unpredictable homeless guy, Mr. Neely, started using ominous language about murdering and bullets, she urged that Penny step in. “Mr. Penny cared for people. That’s what he did. That is his crime,” she asserted.

The retiree claimed that after the event, she and at least three other passengers thanked Penny. “This isn’t about race. This is about people of all colors who were very, very afraid and a man who stepped in to help them,” She elaborated. She emphasized Penny’s non-violent intentions, saying, “Nobody wants to kill anybody. Mr. Penny didn’t want to kill that man.”

The witness continued by describing Penny’s behavior after the confrontation and pointing out his apparent discomfort. “You should have seen the way Mr. Penny looked. He was distraught. He was very, very, very visibly distressed. And he didn’t go. He didn’t run. He stayed,” she revealed.

The witness recounted further facts of the incident, emphasizing the difficulty to hold Mr. Neely under control. “It took three men to hold Mr. Neely down. He was struggling,” She remembered, highlighting how hectic everything was.

The amount of money donated to Penny’s legal defense fund, who is accused of second-degree manslaughter, has significantly increased recently, surpassing $2 million. Vivek Ramaswamy, a prospective 2024 contender, Kid Rock, Tim Pool, and other well-known conservatives have also contributed significantly to help with Penny’s legal defense.
