“It is very possible that they will never learn!”
The president argued that repeated Iranian actions had left the United States with limited options if attacks continued.
“There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!”
Trump also shared a lengthier statement emphasizing the military operation and warning of even more severe consequences should Iran continue its actions.
“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist! President DJT”
Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) released video footage that it said showed earlier operations targeting multiple Iranian military positions. Officials stated that fighter aircraft from both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force participated in the coordinated mission.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes focused on ten separate military objectives positioned in and around the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
“U.S. Navy and Air Force fighter jets conducted strikes tonight on 10 Iranian military targets at multiple locations in and near the Strait of Hormuz for Iran’s drone attack on M/T Kiku.“
The latest military action follows another round of U.S. strikes carried out the previous day. Administration officials said those operations were launched after Iran allegedly violated the ceasefire by conducting a drone attack against a commercial vessel traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM announced Saturday that additional attacks became necessary after another reported strike on a commercial ship despite what U.S. officials described as an opportunity for Iran to comply with the ceasefire agreement.
Military officials claimed Tehran declined that opportunity.
“After yesterday’s U.S. strikes in response to the Iranian attack on M/V Ever Lovely, Iran was given a chance to honor the ceasefire agreement but elected not to when its forces launched a one-way attack drone that hit M/T Kiku this morning at 4:30 a.m. ET,” CENTCOM said.
The command added that American aircraft targeted a broad range of Iranian military capabilities designed to support future operations.
“U.S. military aircraft targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities.”
Reports also emerged Saturday alleging that Iran launched a drone attack targeting Bahrain. Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst reported the incident, while Bahraini officials condemned the alleged attack in unusually strong language.
Bahrain described the reported strike as “a blatant violation of its sovereignty, a flagrant threat to the security of citizens and residents, and a blatant breach of international norms.”
The developments represent another significant escalation in an already volatile region, with U.S. officials signaling that further military action remains possible if additional attacks occur. The Trump administration has maintained that its operations are intended to deter future aggression and protect international shipping routes, while warning that continued violations by Iran could bring far more severe consequences.
