Looking directly at Bondi, Trump made it clear he expects action. “I’m looking at Pam because I hope something’s going to be done about it. These people put our country at great danger. And Adam Schiff… was all made up. It was a hoax. The Mueller report came out. They all hated me.”
WATCH:
Trump reminded the audience that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team was stacked with political opponents — “18 Trump haters” — and still found nothing after years of investigation. “They couldn’t believe they couldn’t find anything. After years of investigation, it was all a hoax. It was a hoax created by the Democrats, but in particular, Schiff and Crooked Hillary, the whole group.”
The former president also pointed to newly released intelligence in recent months, which he says should lead to real accountability. “Now we’ve learned all the stuff that’s come out over the last two months is incredible through intelligence. And hopefully something is going to happen with it. These are people that put our country in danger, in real danger.”
The Russia probe — led by Mueller — dominated Trump’s first term, fueled nonstop by the media. While it ended without finding evidence of conspiracy, Democrats still insisted it was justified. Trump, however, has never wavered in his belief that it was a weaponized smear campaign to destroy his presidency from day one.
Now, with Bondi leading the Justice Department, Trump is signaling that the fight isn’t over. Whether she moves forward publicly or keeps it behind closed doors remains to be seen, but Trump’s Kennedy Center demand sent a loud message: the time for action is now.
Ironically, Trump’s charged remarks came on a night meant to celebrate the arts. The upcoming December Kennedy Center Honors will feature music legend George Strait, Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone, disco queen Gloria Gaynor, rock legends KISS, and British stage star Michael Crawford. Trump will become the first sitting president to personally host the ceremony.
Since taking over the Kennedy Center’s board earlier this year, Trump has been on a mission to restore what he calls the venue’s “luxury, glamour, and entertainment.” He has removed several members, installed trusted allies, slammed “woke” programming, and backed a $257 million renovation project to bring back the prestige of the institution.
It was a night meant for applause — but Trump made sure the biggest headline wasn’t about the stage lights. It was about justice, and his warning to the political figures he says nearly derailed the country.
