President Donald Trump turned what was supposed to be a night of celebration at the Kennedy Center into a fiery call for justice — publicly urging Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate former House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for their role in what he called the “Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.”
The evening began with Trump honoring the 2025 Kennedy Center recipients, but it quickly shifted into a blistering political message. Speaking before a crowd expecting applause for the arts, the former president instead tore into what he described as one of the dirtiest political schemes in modern American history — a conspiracy designed to cripple his presidency before it began.
“We had the Russia, I had to go through the ‘Russia Russia hoax.’ And it was actually… it was a strain on the relationship,” Trump said, recalling the diplomatic damage caused during his administration.
Trump laid the blame squarely on Schiff — whom he nicknamed “Shifty Schiff” — and “Crooked Hillary,” saying the phony investigation put America at risk. “I actually told him, I said, you know, they got this phony investigation going on — Russia, Russia, Russia — totally phony, created by Adam Schiff, shifty Schiff and Hillary Clinton and the whole group of them. And it made it very dangerous for our country because I was unable to really deal with Russia the way we should have been.”
