Former California Congressman Eric Swalwell was reportedly confronted by federal agents at San Francisco International Airport over the weekend, where authorities allegedly seized several of his electronic devices as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
According to a report published by the Daily Mail, agents approached Swalwell after he arrived in San Francisco on Saturday and presented him with a search warrant covering multiple electronic devices, including his cellphone.
The reported seizure is tied to a federal investigation involving allegations of sexual misconduct that have been made against the former Democratic congressman. Sources cited in the report said Swalwell cooperated with the agents during the encounter.
