Schumer’s Shutdown Scheme Backfires BADLY!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Democrats Hold Out For Ideological Demands

Instead of helping federal workers, Democrats are holding the line for a laundry list of partisan demands—from extending Obama-era healthcare subsidies to billions in extra spending that reportedly includes taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants.

Scalise accused Schumer of playing games while Americans suffer. “Well how about you think about us? How about you think about those families who are struggling today because of Chuck Schumer’s shutdown? There are real consequences to what Chuck Schumer is doing. Regardless of who he thinks he’s appeasing, he is hurting so many people, millions and millions of people.”

Speaker Johnson: “If Democrats Want To Challenge Paying Troops, Bring It”

At the same press conference, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) defended President Trump’s directive to ensure military families continue receiving paychecks despite the shutdown.

“Look, my understanding of this is they have every right to move the funds around, duly appropriated dollars from Congress to the Department of Defense,” Johnson explained. “There were some R&D accounts that had not been spent, and that’s my understanding is that’s the money that’s being used to pay the troops right now.”

Then came the challenge: “If the Democrats want to go to court and challenge troops being paid, bring it,” Johnson said. “I’m grateful for a commander in chief who understands the priorities of the country, the necessity of national defense, and the urgency that we all feel and have voted for eight times. Republicans have voted in Congress eight times now between House and Senate to fund the troops and pay federal workers in all these essential jobs and agencies because we understand the necessity of that. Meanwhile, the Democrats voted eight times to block their paychecks. I’m grateful we have a president who is willing to step up and do the right thing.”

Soros-Backed Groups Fuel “No Kings Day” Protests

Scalise’s comments come as Democrat-aligned activist networks ramp up their push for the October 18 protests. The so-called “No Kings Day” events are being bankrolled by Soros-funded organizations like Indivisible and boosted by billionaire donors such as Walmart heiress Christy Walton, according to conservative watchdogs.

These rallies, framed as anti-Trump demonstrations, have been criticized by Republicans as coordinated efforts to manufacture the illusion of popular outrage while Democrats in Washington use the shutdown as political leverage.

Political Theater At The Expense Of Americans

With just days before the next protest wave, critics say Schumer is more interested in fueling chaos for optics than ending a shutdown hurting millions of American families.

For Scalise and Johnson, the contrast couldn’t be clearer: Republicans have voted repeatedly to fund the government, pay troops, and keep essential services running—while Democrats, they argue, are deliberately keeping the lights off to score headlines.

As the standoff continues, one thing is certain: the October 18 “hate America rally” may mark not just a low point in partisan politics—but a moment when millions of Americans finally see who’s really behind Washington’s dysfunction.
