President Donald Trump is preparing to bestow the Presidential Medal of Freedom—the nation’s highest civilian honor—on the late conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA.
The White House confirmed that the ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. EST on what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday, with his widow Erika Kirk expected to attend. The moment marks a powerful tribute to a man whose voice, activism, and faith inspired a generation of young conservatives.
A Legacy That “Will Inspire Generations to Come”
Kirk’s close colleagues say the recognition is both emotional and deeply deserved.
“Although he was taken from us far too soon, his legacy will inspire generations to come and outlive us all,” said Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, in a statement to Fox News. “He represents the very best of America and is deserving of this and every other possible accolade. Thank you to President Trump for quite literally shifting world events to honor Charlie on what would have been his 32nd birthday.”
Kolvet added, “Only Charlie could do that.”
