The dad, Drew Faltwell, is now speaking out about why he handed over the ball and the tense scene that unfolded.
The incident took place Friday night and quickly went viral. It all started when a home run was hit into the stands, and Faltwell caught the ball before handing it to his son, Lincoln, who was celebrating his birthday. That’s when the woman stormed over and started demanding the ball for herself.
Fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Video from the game shows the woman screaming, “That was ours!… No, you took it from me! It was in my hand!” Her voice echoed through the stands as onlookers watched the heated exchange unfold.
