The Supreme Court delivered a major win for border security on Monday, overruling a Biden-appointed judge and clearing the way for the Trump administration to resume its aggressive immigration enforcement operations across Southern California.
The decision sends a strong message: immigration laws will be enforced, despite opposition from liberal activists and Biden-aligned judges.
Not surprisingly, the Court’s three liberal justices — Elena Kagan, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Sonia Sotomayor — dissented. Justice Sotomayor, furious over the ruling, issued a blistering statement.
“We should not have to live in a country where the Government can seize anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish, and appears to work a low wage job. Rather than stand idly by while our constitutional freedoms are lost, I dissent,” Sotomayor wrote.
