Letitia James Could Face 30 YEARS Over Mortgage FRAUD!

A major storm is brewing for New York Attorney General Letitia James after newly uncovered mortgage documents suggest she may have lied on official records to secure a $200,000 loan from Citizens Bank in 2021.

The allegations center on a “Credit Line Mortgage” James signed on June 21, 2021. At first glance, it looks like a standard loan — but buried in the paperwork are claims that could point to criminal mortgage fraud.

Every mortgage requires accurate details on the property being financed. That includes the number of units in a building — a key factor in determining whether a loan qualifies for lower residential rates or if it falls under the more expensive commercial category.

But records show James told Citizens Bank her five-unit apartment building was a “1 FAMILY” dwelling. That’s not a small error. It directly contradicts the official Certificate of Occupancy, which legally defines her Brooklyn property at 296 Lafayette Avenue as a “FIVE (5) FAMILY DWELLING.”
