Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had football on his mind Thursday, but he opened his press conference by taking an unexpected shot at one of the most controversial figures from the COVID-19 era.
Before getting into the Eagles’ defense, Fangio referenced former White House COVID adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci and his appearance before the Senate the previous day. The remark immediately caught the attention of reporters in the room and sparked laughter.
“I’m gonna be like Fauci and just take the Fifth Amendment on all questions. Did you guys see that? Oh my god.”
