Newsom Thanks Trump? Here’s Why!

Footage from the scene showed masked extremists lighting American flags on fire, launching fireworks at officers, and hurling objects into the police line. Despite the mayhem, Newsom did nothing.

Officials admitted the destruction was widespread. Mayor Bass called the damage “significant” and said graffiti was “everywhere.” Businesses were trashed. Streets looked like a war zone.

The violence was enabled—if not outright encouraged—by California’s sanctuary policies that prioritize illegal immigrants and radical activists over law-abiding Americans.

After all of this, President Trump made a stunning decision: he gave Newsom exactly what he wanted.

SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler approved an Economic Injury Disaster Loan declaration, allowing impacted businesses to apply for up to $2 million in taxpayer-funded, low-interest loans.

Why are Americans in red states being forced to subsidize the fallout from California’s radical policies? This wasn’t a natural disaster. It was the predictable result of a state that abandoned law and order—and now the rest of the country is picking up the tab.

Instead of taking responsibility, Newsom’s office did what Democrats always do—blame Trump.

His spokesperson shamelessly claimed that Trump created the chaos in Los Angeles for political gain. Meanwhile, California’s own law enforcement was the one deploying tear gas, trying to regain control of a city left to burn.

Hundreds of arrests were made, and officers were assaulted with concrete and bottles. Still, Newsom refused to take ownership. He let it happen. He let it fester. Then he cried victim and demanded help.

And he got it.

The real victims? Not the politicians or the protestors—but the small business owners whose livelihoods were destroyed.

One produce market operator told Reuters, “business has collapsed” and workers are too scared to show up. CNN reported that storefronts remain boarded up, foot traffic is gone, and employees are terrified. These aren’t just statistics—they’re real Americans paying the price for Newsom’s radicalism.

They deserve help—but not from federal funds. That help should come straight out of Sacramento’s bloated budget.

SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler didn’t mince words:
“Governor Newsom allowed a mob to rampage Los Angeles – standing with violent rioters, paid protestors, and criminal illegal aliens over law-abiding citizens,” she said. “Despite an estimated $1 billion in damage, he refused federal relief for weeks, insisting that the riots were peaceful even as small business owners stood in the rubble.”

That’s the raw truth. Newsom’s administration enabled destruction, turned away help, and then came crawling back for money.

And Trump gave it to them.

California has a massive budget surplus and some of the highest taxes in America. Why is Iowa, Texas, or Florida footing the bill for their failure?

By handing Newsom this federal bailout, the message is clear to Democrat governors across the country: let your cities burn, blame someone else, and D.C. will pay the price.

That’s not leadership. That’s surrender.

Trump was elected to stand against radical policies—not fund them.

It’s time to make failed governors pay for their own messes. California created this chaos. Let them clean it up—with their own money.
