“New Party or Bust!” Musk Fires Back at BBB Bill!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

On Monday, Musk amped up his rhetoric by declaring he’d move forward with a brand-new political group—dubbed the “America Party”—if the GOP-backed spending bill makes it through Congress. The New York Times reported his sharp ultimatum.

“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day,” he wrote in one of several Monday posts to his 220 million followers on X. “Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”

By Monday night, Musk shifted from mere talk to direct action, throwing his weight behind Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky—a vocal critic of Trump’s legislation. While some Republicans have voiced concerns, the vast majority of GOP lawmakers remain in favor of pushing the bill through.

But Musk’s online tirade didn’t stop there.

He soon threatened political war against Republicans who backed the bill, vowing electoral consequences for lawmakers who defy his warnings.

At one point, he wrote that nearly the entire House and Senate Republican delegation “will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

Such a statement carries serious weight from Musk, whose wealth and influence in recent elections have been formidable. Reports indicate he poured close to $300 million into Republican campaigns during the 2024 cycle.

He didn’t shy away from naming names, either.

Musk publicly blasted Representatives Andy Harris of Maryland and Chip Roy of Texas, both members of the House Freedom Caucus, accusing them of hypocrisy—presenting themselves as fiscal conservatives while backing the enormous spending plan. He also tangled in a heated exchange with Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma via social media.

Meanwhile, former President Trump didn’t take Musk’s outbursts lying down. He lobbed a fierce counterattack, suggesting Musk owes much of his business empire to government cash.

“Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa,” Trump wrote on social media early Tuesday. “No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE.”

Trump even hinted that Musk’s own government watchdog might be summoned to investigate him.

“Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this?” he added, referring to the Department of Government Efficiency, a group Musk formed with the blessing of the president.

Musk’s flirtation with Republican politics has always been somewhat rocky. Though he supported Democrats for years, he made a loud break in 2022 and began donating heavily to conservative causes shortly before the 2024 presidential race.

Tensions between Musk and Trump have escalated since a bitter clash earlier in June. During that feud, Musk ran an online poll on X asking:

“Is it time to create a new political party in America that represents the 80% in the middle?”

Despite his fiery threats, there’s still no sign that Musk has taken concrete steps to establish his America Party. No official filings, no staff, and no visible infrastructure have materialized so far—just a flurry of posts and headlines.

Interestingly, Musk had previously said he planned to dramatically scale back political spending in the 2026 cycle. But his recent rhetoric suggests that vow may be out the window.

For now, the world’s richest man appears poised for a political showdown, prepared to put his fortune—and his massive online reach—on the line to reshape America’s political landscape.
