During remarks on Tuesday, President Trump revealed that federal authorities are digging into CNN after it aired a segment promoting an app that lets users report sightings of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. The purpose? To warn others nearby so they can steer clear of immigration enforcement.
The controversy ignited after CNN correspondent Clare Duffy introduced viewers to a tech entrepreneur who created the app supposedly to “alert” people about ICE activity without directly interfering with the agency’s operations.
