The conservative movement, once defined by calls for smaller government and fiscal responsibility, now finds itself battling old-guard Republicans eager to prop up endless foreign entanglements. Leading the charge against these globalist forces is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a fierce MAGA loyalist unafraid to call out her own party’s betrayal.
In a stark warning, Greene said many Republican leaders remain “addicted to foreign wars” — a slap in the face to Trump’s core mission to bring troops home and end America’s costly adventures overseas. Trump’s presidency was marked by historic efforts to wind down wars in places like Afghanistan, a goal undermined by Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal.
Greene stressed that Trump is standing firm on his promises. Her frustration, she said, isn’t aimed at him but at entrenched GOP elites who conspire with “classic neocons” to hijack the movement.
