Neocon poster child Lindsey Graham wasted no time calling for an escalation. The South Carolina Senator, who’s never met a conflict he didn’t want to bomb, demanded Trump join forces with Israel and possibly aim for regime change in Tehran.
“I would urge President Trump to go all in to make sure that when this operation is over, there’s nothing left standing in Iran regarding their nuclear program,” Graham said on Fox News. “If it means flying with Israel, fly with Israel.”
🚨BREAKING: Karoline Leavitt just confirmed that Trump will be holding off on any decisions regarding Iran for at least the next two weeks, pending negotiations.

He doubled down online, posting:
“Game on. Pray for Israel.”
That post was torched across the political spectrum. Former Bernie Sanders co-chair Nina Turner fired back:
“WARS ARE NOT GAMES. PEOPLE DIE. You won’t be shipped off to war, but working class Americans who joined our military for healthcare and education would be.”
Trump Base Revolts Against War Pressure
While the D.C. establishment foams at the mouth for another war, Trump’s grassroots supporters are sounding the alarm.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a vocal Trump ally, warned that another foreign entanglement could break his coalition apart.
“It’s going to fracture it, and it’s already fracturing it,” Greene said. “I just got back from the grocery store, and someone came up and talked to me about it.”
She reminded the media why Americans pulled the lever for Trump in the first place.
“In November, voters cast their ballots to end the forever wars… Americans want our government focused on solving our problems here at home,” she told Newsweek.
Tucker Carlson also jumped into the fray, issuing a scathing warning in his newsletter: The U.S. should stop funding Israel’s military campaign and “let them fight their own wars.”
Polling Shows America’s Had Enough
A recent YouGov poll backs up the anti-war sentiment. Only 23% of Republicans support military action in the Iran-Israel conflict. 53% of GOP voters, 61% of independents, and 65% of Democrats oppose it outright. Across all demographics, a solid 60% of Americans say the U.S. should stay out.
America First Allies Demand Constitutional Guardrails
Trump’s supporters in Congress are taking action to rein in any rush to war. Reps. Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna introduced a bipartisan War Powers Resolution to ensure that any move against Iran requires congressional approval.
“This is not our war. But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution,” Massie posted.
Even progressives are backing it. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez retweeted Massie, writing:
“Signing on.”
Sen. Rand Paul echoed the concern, warning that “the same neoconservatives who sold us Iraq” are at it again.
“The American people overwhelmingly oppose endless wars.”
Graham Shrugs Off Constitution, Mocks Critics
When confronted about the backlash from his own party, Graham dismissed it.
“Yeah, I mean, I like Marjorie, but to be honest with you, she doesn’t understand the threat, in my view.”
“If you don’t understand that Iran, a religious theocracy, religious Nazis, would use a nuclear weapon to kill all the Jews, you don’t listen to what they say.”
That cavalier attitude — waving away both voter will and the Constitution — is exactly what Trump voters despise.
Conservatives Slam “War Pimps” in D.C.
The split has drawn raw condemnation from within the Republican Party itself. Rep. Tim Burchett called out Graham and Ted Cruz:
“Look, I got a daughter who just turned 18 last week on the same day as the president did… and I don’t want to see her go to war.”
Others on the right are calling Graham a “puppet of the Military Industrial Complex” and a “warmongering NeoCon.”
Trump’s Defining Moment
Trump now stands at a crossroads — his two-week pause buys him time, but the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Greene issued a sobering warning:
“Pray for our troops. Pray for the innocent people in Israel and Iran… War has bad consequences. We voted for America First.”
When Trump lashed out at Carlson as “kooky,” Greene fired back:
“Tucker Carlson is one of my favorite people… That’s not kooky. That’s what millions of Americans voted for. It’s what we believe is America First.”
Will Trump Hold the Line?
This isn’t just a foreign policy debate — it’s a test of whether Trump will stick with the movement that made him. Will he cave to Lindsey Graham and the war crowd, or will he reaffirm his promise to put America First?
One thing is clear: Trump’s base is watching — and they won’t forgive another endless war.
