Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is crediting President Donald Trump’s immigration policies for one of the most dramatic shifts in U.S. border enforcement in modern history. According to Noem, more than 1.6 million illegal immigrants have already left the country since Trump returned to the White House less than 200 days ago.
“In less than 200 days, 1.6 MILLION illegal immigrants have left the United States population. This is massive,” Noem wrote on X.
The Homeland Security chief called it a turning point for America. “This means safer streets, taxpayer savings, pressure off of schools and hospital services and better job opportunities for Americans,” she added. “Thank you @POTUS Trump!”
In a video posted to social media, Noem said the results show “exactly the genius of Donald J. Trump.” She explained that Trump ran on a promise to restore safety and security—and within months of taking office, the impact is already undeniable.
