It’s Over: Trump Stops the Trillion Dollar “Green Religion” Cold!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The finding gave bureaucrats sweeping authority over emissions from cars, trucks, power plants, and even household appliances—without Congress ever granting that power.

The impact on everyday families has been dramatic. In 2009, the average new car cost $23,000. Today, that same vehicle carries a $50,000 price tag. EPA Administrator Zeldin said that stakeholders told him the Obama and Biden EPAs “twisted the law, ignored precedent, and warped science” to saddle American families with “hundreds of billions of dollars in hidden taxes every single year.”

The American Trucking Association warned that Biden’s electric truck mandate would have brought the industry “to economic ruin,” threatening higher prices on everything from groceries to gasoline. Meanwhile, half of the nation’s coal industry was wiped out, leaving thousands of miners unemployed and entire communities in crisis.

All of this came at the expense of everyday Americans, chasing what critics call the Left’s “climate religion,” while utility bills skyrocketed and energy costs soared.

Repealing the endangerment finding removes the EPA’s authority to regulate motor vehicle emissions under the Clean Air Act based on climate concerns. Consumers regain the ability to choose vehicles without federal interference, and the trucking industry can explore practical, cost-effective technologies without risking economic collapse.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright hailed the policy shift, saying Trump’s leadership is “returning to free and open dialogue around climate and energy policy — driving the focus back to following the data.”

Trump’s administration is already moving to revitalize coal, signing contracts to purchase electricity from coal-fired plants. Five facilities in West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, and Kentucky are set to receive funding for upgrades and recommissioning, signaling a major step toward American energy independence.

Republican lawmakers are celebrating. Representative Doug LaMalfa praised the action as “long overdue,” pointing out that carbon dioxide “is not a pollutant, it’s a basic building block of life.” Senate Environment Committee Chairman Shelley Moore Capito said Trump’s action “is exactly what needs to be done to secure American energy dominance.”

Unlike Trump’s first term, when auto emissions standards were loosened but the endangerment finding remained, this move removes the legal foundation for the entire climate regulatory apparatus.

Democrats and environmental groups are already threatening lawsuits, but recent Supreme Court rulings make it clear that major regulations require explicit Congressional authorization. The West Virginia v. EPA decision affirmed that agencies cannot impose sweeping rules without legislative backing. Trump’s EPA is counting on those precedents to shield the repeal from legal challenges.

For over a decade, the Obama-Biden climate agenda weaponized bureaucratic power to force a radical economic vision on Americans. Now, that agenda has hit a brick wall in Donald Trump and Lee Zeldin. Families can finally breathe easier—able to afford new cars, heat their homes, and operate their businesses free from Washington’s heavy hand.
