For over 16 years, the Obama administration’s climate policies have been a stranglehold on American families and businesses. That grip is finally being broken. President Trump, together with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, is taking decisive action to dismantle one of the most aggressive regulatory regimes in U.S. history.
The target is the 2009 “endangerment finding,” the legal declaration that greenhouse gases supposedly endanger public health. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump will join Zeldin Thursday to finalize the repeal, describing it as “the largest deregulatory action in American history.”
The move is projected to save Americans a staggering $1.3 trillion in burdensome regulations, ending years of economic chokeholds on families and industries alike.
The 2009 endangerment finding unleashed a flood of regulations that has suffocated American enterprise for more than 15 years. Obama’s EPA used it to justify seven major vehicle regulations, collectively costing over $1 trillion. Biden’s EPA piled on with even stricter mandates, threatening to devastate the auto industry.
