But that trust has cracked. Pirro’s recent statements have conservatives reeling, accusing her of a shocking flip-flop that feels more like Democrat-style gun grabbing than Trump-era conservatism.
During a segment on Fox News, Pirro praised former President Trump’s crime-fighting efforts in the capital—but then made a statement that sent shockwaves through the conservative movement.
“You bring a gun into the District, you mark my words, you’re going to jail,” she declared on Martha MacCallum’s show. “I don’t care if you have a license in another district, and I don’t care if you are a law-abiding gun owner somewhere else.”
