ICE “Kidnapping” Claim Falls Apart FAST

A Minnesota woman is facing intense scrutiny after publicly claiming she was “kidnapped” by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, only for the Department of Homeland Security to respond with a sharply different version of events.

The 23 year old woman, Nasra Ahmed, was arrested last week in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Minnesota. Shortly after her release, Ahmed began telling reporters and activists that she was the victim of a violent and racially motivated ICE operation.

Federal officials, however, say the arrest occurred because Ahmed assaulted law enforcement officers during a lawful encounter.

In a statement released after Ahmed’s allegations went viral, the Department of Homeland Security made clear that violence against officers will not be tolerated.

“Secretary Noem has been clear: anyone — including U.S. citizens — who assault law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Assaulting law enforcement is a felony and a federal crime,” DHS said.
