California Democrats are beginning to sweat as new early voting numbers suggest Republicans are turning out at a much stronger pace ahead of the state’s June 2 primary election.
Fresh data released by the office of the California Secretary of State is raising eyebrows across the political world after showing a noticeable shift in ballot returns compared to previous election cycles. Political observers say the trend is impossible to ignore, especially considering California’s long-standing Democratic dominance.
One Republican lawmaker believes the numbers reflect a deeper enthusiasm gap.
