Fake Cops Busted: Homeowners Fire Back!

Two men who thought they could play cops and kick in the wrong door didn’t live to regret it.

Late on August 23 in Houston, Texas, a pair of armed criminals showed up at a home around 11 p.m., posing as police officers. They weren’t there to “serve and protect” — they were there to terrorize. Instead, they were stopped cold by homeowners who refused to be victims.

A Late-Night Knock That Didn’t Add Up

According to KTRK-TV, the masked intruders knocked on the front door, claiming to have a warrant. They had badges hanging from their necks, ski masks covering their faces, and even bulletproof vests strapped on.

But something didn’t feel right. As Houston Police Lt. Amber Khan explained, “Thankfully the owners are okay. They became suspicious because, you know, they have a Ring camera, too, and the suspects were saying they had a warrant, but it was just two people and they’re masked up and no police cars, no lights or anything like that.”

That suspicion may have saved their lives.
