Former FBI Director James Comey is facing explosive new scrutiny after posting what critics are calling a veiled assassination threat aimed at President Donald Trump. And now, Ed Martin, Associate Deputy Attorney General, is sounding the alarm, declaring that Comey’s cryptic message may land him behind bars.

“He knew… He’s got a problem. Perjury traps are next. Going to jail on one or the other,” Martin said in a fiery interview on the Benny Johnson Show.
The controversy erupted when Comey shared an image on Instagram Thursday featuring seashells on a beach arranged to read “86 47.” While the caption seemed innocent enough — “Cool shell formation on my beach walk,” — many immediately linked the numbers to an online slang interpretation that implies “kill Trump,” the 47th president.
