Former FBI Director James Comey is stepping into the spotlight once again—but this time, it’s not for a book tour or political commentary. He’s now the subject of a Secret Service investigation following a suspicious social media post that’s drawing national attention and raising serious questions.
According to CNN, Comey is scheduled to meet with agents at the Secret Service’s Washington Field Office on Friday afternoon. While not under arrest, Comey is being escorted by Secret Service agents for a voluntary interview regarding an Instagram post that many believe contains a veiled threat toward former President Donald Trump.
The photo posted by Comey showed a set of seashells arranged in the sand, seemingly innocuous at first glance. But the caption—“Cool shell formation on my beach walk”—was far from the issue. It was the shells themselves that spelled out “86 47.” To many online, including federal agents, the meaning was crystal clear: eliminate the 47th President, referring to Donald Trump’s bid to return to office.

The phrase “86 47” has circulated in dark corners of the internet and social media circles as coded language to “remove” Trump—both politically and, in some cases, violently. While Comey now claims ignorance, law enforcement isn’t brushing this off.
