A newly released surveillance video from outside Jeffrey Epstein’s jail cell is now raising more questions than answers after eagle-eyed viewers discovered a critical minute had been mysteriously cut out of the footage.
The Department of Justice, alongside the FBI, released the 10-hour video footage late Sunday. The release comes after a memo obtained by Axios claimed there was no evidence Epstein maintained a “client list” for blackmail purposes—something long speculated as the key to his vast power and protection. The memo also reaffirmed the FBI’s previous conclusion: that Epstein died by suicide in August 2019.
But the drama didn’t end there.
Despite the DOJ’s attempt at transparency, the video appears to have been edited. Specifically, there’s a clear gap between 11:59:00 PM and 12:00:00 AM. In other words, a full minute of footage is simply missing.
