The NFL’s push to expand its footprint beyond America is moving into new territory, and one recent comment from Commissioner Roger Goodell has reignited a major debate over just how far that expansion should go.
Goodell, speaking with German media outlet RTL/ntv, discussed the possibility of one day placing NFL teams outside the United States and eventually allowing an international city to host the league’s biggest event: the Super Bowl.
