Did Pompeo Call the Shot? Russia Bombers Hit Next Day!

He went on to frame the war in Ukraine as a global fight between good and evil, insisting that peace talks are not only futile, but dangerous.

“If the conclusion of this conflict isn’t that those who are observing this game don’t understand that this was a win for the good guys and defeat for the bad guys… the world will be a very different place,” he warned.

The tone was nothing short of war-hawkish—especially as President Trump and others in the America First movement continue to argue that the war is unnecessary, escalatory, and increasingly threatening to world peace.

The forum concluded on June 1. Less than 24 hours later, Ukraine—reportedly with the help of Western intelligence—executed a brazen drone strike inside Russia. Strategic bombers, capable of carrying nuclear payloads, were destroyed.

On Tuesday, another round of escalation came when Ukraine bombed the vital Crimean Bridge—again. It marked the third attack on the structure connecting Crimea to mainland Russia.

Ukrainian drones took out numerous Russian bombers on Sunday over a thousand miles from the border with Ukraine. This comes one day before peace talks resume in Turkey.

What exactly is going on here? And why is Pompeo, a former top U.S. official, fueling flames of war while Trump continues to campaign on promises of peace?

During the Q&A, Pompeo insisted a ceasefire isn’t a solution.

“That deterrence… doesn’t end with a ceasefire,” he said. “This is a man who has no intention of changing… His vision has not changed and is not going to change. That means our resolve must be forever.”

Pompeo made it clear—he believes Putin must be defeated outright, not negotiated with. In fact, he even rejected the idea of recognizing Crimea as Russian territory, despite suggestions in some corners of the Western media.

“We ought not to preclude Crimea being not only part of Ukraine, but a functional, operational part of Ukraine by recognizing it,” Pompeo stated.

And then came what may be the most chilling line of the evening:

“Just as no one expected the Soviet Union to fall in 1989, things happen and they break, but they only do so in the face of enormous resolve and real cost-imposing actions on the part of the West.”

Was that a veiled prediction of an even greater collapse—or conflict—to come?

While Pompeo plays war strategist in Ukraine, Donald Trump continues to promote peace through strength and diplomatic leverage. Trump has repeatedly claimed he could end the war within 24 hours through negotiation—something Pompeo now publicly dismisses.

So who’s in charge of U.S. foreign policy behind the scenes? Why is Pompeo—the former Secretary of State under Trump—now taking a position that runs completely counter to the former president?

Are globalist operatives in the deep state working overtime to ensure this war never ends? And if so, to what end?

On the surface, Pompeo’s appearance looked like a speech at a routine geopolitical forum. But when placed in context with the rapid military escalations that immediately followed, it takes on a far more sinister tone.

This is no longer just a war in Eastern Europe. It is fast becoming a battleground between Western elites determined to “win at all costs” and those urging caution, diplomacy, and de-escalation.

Mike Pompeo’s speech signals a troubling shift—one that could drag the West deeper into a direct and catastrophic conflict with nuclear-armed Russia.

And we must ask: what did Mike Pompeo know—and when did he know it?
