A Democratic lawmaker in Arizona is under fire — and could soon face federal charges — after openly admitting she tipped off illegal migrants about ongoing ICE operations in her community.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to Fox News that obstruction-of-justice charges are being considered against Arizona State Senator Analise Ortiz following her social media posts alerting residents to the presence of immigration enforcement agents.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted Ortiz’s actions, accusing her of siding with criminals over American citizens.
“Arizona state Senator Analise Ortiz is siding with vicious cartels, human traffickers, and violent criminals over American citizens,” McLaughlin told Fox News. “Notifying the public about ICE law enforcement operations endangers law enforcement and weakens American national security.”
