President Donald Trump is once again taking his fight for secure borders to the nation’s highest court.
On Thursday, the Trump administration filed an emergency petition with the U.S. Supreme Court to throw out a lower court order that shut down federal immigration stops in Southern California. The ruling came from a Biden-appointed judge who claimed the enforcement operations were “indiscriminate” and unconstitutional.
The move follows the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refusing to lift the lower court’s temporary restraining order. Now, the Supreme Court will decide whether Trump’s team gets immediate relief while the case plays out.
California Leading the Resistance
For years, California has been ground zero for the Left’s war on immigration enforcement. This latest clash comes as Trump faces a tidal wave of legal battles over his America First policies — more than 250 cases in total. According to the Associated Press, 91 are still pending, 109 have been blocked in some form, and just 74 remain in effect.
