Dem Gov Praises Trump? Nobody Saw THIS Coming!

Baier followed up bluntly: “And you give credit to the Trump administration for the securing of the border, right?” Without hesitation, Moore replied: “Oh, yeah. And — but I think what we have is we need to make sure that we understand and are following the Constitution on it. We have watched a securing of a border, which becomes incredibly important.”

That moment of bipartisan truth, however, didn’t last long. Moore quickly pivoted to the usual Democrat talking points, blasting what he claimed were unfair and unproductive mass deportations. He argued that targeting thousands of illegal immigrants daily doesn’t prioritize violent criminals, but rather punishes working families and legal gray areas.

“But the thing that I also know is that this idea that we need quotas or arbitrary numbers, 3,000 people who are going to be deported every single day, that’s not a data-backed number,” Moore said. “And, frankly, that’s not going after violent criminals. Who it’s going after is people like who I’ve spoken to on the Eastern Shore who are saying that they now have workers who are chicken workers who are now not showing up for work or the person who has an employee from Ecuador who’s a single father and a child with special needs who is now recently deported.”

While Democrats continue to push back on the idea of widespread removals, the Biden administration—under pressure from record illegal crossings and collapsing public confidence—is doing just that. The recent passage of the “Big Beautiful Bill,” a sweeping immigration enforcement package, has paved the way for the most aggressive deportation effort in decades.

Signed into law on July 4, the bill launches a historic boost in immigration enforcement funding, skyrocketing ICE’s budget from $2 billion to over $70 billion. That includes $45 billion to massively expand detention capacity and another $30 billion to bring in thousands of new agents. These moves are part of a broader initiative to step up the federal government’s reach inside the country, going far beyond just border apprehensions.

White House border czar Tom Homan isn’t mincing words about what comes next. “And for those that say 3,000 a day is too much, I want to remind them, do the math, we have to arrest 7,000 every single day for the remainder of this administration just to catch the ones Biden released into the nation,” Homan said.

According to Homan, the administration’s goal is 7,000 interior deportations per day—more than double the number Moore cited. This massive push aims to undo the damage of years of open-border chaos by focusing not only on criminal aliens but on reversing the Biden-era policy of mass releases into the interior.

Critics say Moore’s concerns are misplaced. If anything, the pushback from left-wing leaders highlights how out of step many Democrats are with the average American voter, who wants secure borders and serious consequences for violating immigration law.

Moore’s comments reveal a political balancing act as Democrats grapple with internal divisions on immigration. On one hand, voters are demanding results; on the other, their party’s base remains obsessed with maintaining sanctuary policies and open-door ideologies.

In the end, it may be the Trump legacy—one Moore just openly praised—that sets the stage for how immigration is handled in the years to come.
