As Hunter Biden’s old buddy Devon Archer struggles to avoid going to jail at the appeal hearing taking place in a Manhattan courtroom, Hunter Biden’s legal issues could get worse this week. In the meantime, Archer’s final chance to escape punishment for any infraction he may have committed is probably now.
Hunter Biden notices that he has less and fewer alternatives everywhere he looks. The bitter realization that even those closest to him have abandoned him for good begins to sink in as his friends encourage him to give up hope of a presidential pardon.
He has been urged by the unidentified voices to exchange his only remaining asset—his knowledge of the Biden family and their alleged use of power during Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president—in order to escape the repercussions of his conduct.
Archer took part in meetings that Hunter had painstakingly set up so that his overseas business associates could speak with the head of their family. These encounters cultivated international ties and permitted extensive information flows between them.
Just a few weeks before Archer and Hunter Biden joined Burisma’s very dubious board of directors, he was seen shaking hands with the Vice President in his Oval Office chambers. This photo would go on to become quite contentious.
A source close to Archer recently claimed that the Trump appointee Richard Sullivan’s inclusion on Tuesday’s three-judge panel for the Second Circuit Court had come as an unexpected and unwelcome shock following the District Court Judge Ronnie Abrams’ stunning decision to reverse their fraud conviction. “an unwavering concern that Archer is innocent.”
Friends describe Archer’s situation as being “caught between two presidents.”
It’s a funny coincidence that Archer, a Joe Biden supporter and ally, has a long-standing, odd familial relationship with Donald Trump. Despite their current political disagreements, the two still get along.
When Archer unexpectedly found himself seated next to the former president at the West Palm Beach clubhouse due to a golfing coincidence, he got the chance to meet him. After President Trump and Kid Rock concluded their round of swinging, this took place.

President Trump met John Archer, an old friend, while playing golf. The president was informed that they had previously met after admiring his eye-catching outfit and engaging in some lighthearted small talk.
Donald Trump’s liaison with Marla Maples was covered up in the summer of 1991 thanks in part to the assistance of Archer’s Long Island relatives. After dating for two years, they were married and had a daughter named Tiffany.

Teenage Archer was not your typical chauffeur; instead, his famed late uncle Charles Melniker gave him the unique responsibility of entertaining Maple. They would go about in a Jeep together and stop at Gerlich’s Inn for some exciting tennis matches in Glen Head.
‘Donald’ is what you may call me.
This person’s strong friendship with Donald Trump was well known, as evidenced by his three trips in the presidential limousine and frequent use of the name “Donald.”
“She was lovely,” Archer’s aunt Deanie Melniker, the widow of Melniker, comes to mind. “She stayed with us out on Long Island . . . We were spending the time with Marla because she didn’t have a gig and to keep her out of the crosshairs of reporters and people who were harassing her.
“People didn’t think of her favorably as [the Trump] marriage was breaking down, but we were close to her and had a lot of exposure to Donald. He was very supportive and friendly and kind [even] as his fortunes were waning.”
Melniker claims that her father was dying at the time and “Donald flew my dad down to Mar-a-Lago to see Jackie Mason. He was very generous and kind to my family, and appreciated what we were doing for Marla.”
One day in January, Donald Trump was spotted by Archer when he was playing golf. The former leader remembers Archer’s aunt and her late spouse with affection. Archer called the ecstatic relative when he got home to tell them the important news of their chance meeting.
“Devon is like a son to me,” she says. “He was the most natural suburban kid with zero privilege. He was the lifeguard, athlete, and a hard worker. He worked whatever job he could.”

A life-changing lacrosse scholarship to Yale was given to Archer, a driven former Abercrombie & Fitch model from Long Island with goals beyond the catwalk and a heart of gold anchored in his teacher-father’s legacy and Vietnam veteran lineage. There he met John Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz, who opened up a world of possibility for him. Their connection eventually led to the two of them starting their own investment company, Rosemont Seneca Partners.
In a startling change of events, Archer was sentenced to one year and one month in prison for bail fraud after four years of being associated with the sons of privilege. He claims ignorance of the crime. He now has to pay back eye-watering $43 million in restitution charges, which would be a further humiliation.
Despite his good intentions, he was victimized by a terrible act of deception that caused him to feel wronged out of his life’s work.
Benjamin Archer’s destiny is in doubt as two Trump and one Biden appointee must decide whether to send him to prison or let him go. The famous father of two could be preparing to leave for either prison or his house shortly.
Despite their prior relationship, Hunter, a former vice president at Burnham Financial Group who received substantial salary in 2015, according to paperwork on his laptop, has not been involved in Archer’s legal woes.
The Biden family gave Archer the reassuring assurance that they would remember him despite his legal issues. 2019 brought a grin to his face as Hunter made him a specific pledge to do this.
“Every great family is persecuted . . . you are part of a great family — not a sideshow, not deserted by them even in your darkest moments. That’s the way Bidens are different, and you are a Biden.”
While the White House would pardon Hunter Biden, it would probably happen in the latter weeks of Joe Biden’s presidency, which would be too late for his brother Archer to receive any relief.
